HOW TO NAME YOUR WARRIOR
realism, in order to be accepted, you must have a name that is considered per warrior standards. It is fairly easy to pick a realistic name, as there are many, many options to choose from, actually.
environment, seeing as in this genre of Warriors, the four classical Clans are placed in the old forest territory, in Great Britain. That being said, plants and animals not found in the forest of England cannot be accepted - as they have limited knowledge of animals and plants beyond their territories.
We do have some general rules regarding the naming of your character! You are by no means limited to this naming guide, but all we ask is that you abide by our realism and worldly guidelines.
Firstly, your leader has every right to reject a name. If you believe that your name is completely plausible, please do approach a member of Staff--and if your leader is Staff, contact the local Administrator--and inquire about your name. If it is still rejected, then you will be asked to change it.
Names such as "Blood-", "Death-" and "Soul-" are never to be permitted, at any costs. If anything, cats would heavily frown upon a mother for naming their kit something so sensitively awful.
The prefixes "Moon-" and "Star-" have been banned for the sake of keeping the Clan's beliefs sacred, in terms of the Moonstone and StarClan. No mother should be so audacious as to name her kit after something so almighty and all-knowing. "Sun-", however, is permitted but at a rare opportune.
prefixes, these are chosen primarily based on a kit's pelt at birth. However, it is also allowed to be that they are named after fallen friends or family members. We ask that if it is after a dead character played by someone else, you obtain permission first.
suffixes, these are the more lenient choices in the Warriors' world. It can be based on complexion, personality, notable skills, capabilities, or even a specific physical feature or behavioral trait. Suffixes help paint a picture of the cat and their most prominent feats, and are considered windows into the soul, per cat standards.
credentials, all credit for the discovery of the majority of all listed prefixes and half the suffixes can be accredited to the Ailuronymy Tumblr page, located here. The extra prefixes and suffixes were decided and allowed by the creator of this guide, with help from this Warriors Wiki article.
