DISCLAIMER
Archaic Pawprints is a literate, coordinated role-play with an overarching plot stemming from a multitude of mini-plots coordinated by your Clan leaders and members alike. Meaning, our plot shifts based on what you, our beloved members, do! Every cat can have a part if they're willing.
We do host some mature and grisly plots, and you have been warned that there will be discrimination, bloodshed, and other negative factors in this role-play.
Swearing here is permitted though at a responsible level. If someone is making you uncomfortable with excessive profanity, you may ask them to stop. If they refuse, you may enlist the help of a Staff member to resolve the issue.

GENERAL OOC RULES
respect, We strive for a healthy and amicable environment, and to achieve an environment as such, we must all be respectful to each other. To elaborate, be respectful regardless of religion, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, or otherwise.
prevention, while it can seem like a ridiculous rule to have, we have forbidden highly sensitive topics that can create immediate discomfort within the chats. If seen talking about a topic that can trigger, as we shamelessly quote Tumblr, you will be politely approached and asked to stop.
reporting, if you see a member breaking or disregarding one of these rules, please contact a staff member as soon as possible. A template to be used in such a case can be found here. Send a PM to any Staff member and patiently await response.

harassment, any form of harrassment seen by any staff member, or normal member, in fact, will receive consequence. this rule coincides with the respect rule. please, use expletives with responsibility. Do not swear if asked to stop or, at the very least, tone it down.
recruiting for the role-play, only those with staff permissions may recruit for the role-play. This includes all leaders and their respective deputies, or special individuals who have proven to be faithful and devout and are trusted to take on the responsibility.
respect when recruiting, if you are ever spotted harassing or commenting on another role-play while we recruit, you will immediately be shut down. We will tolerate no disparage of other groups in this community. You may not call out or mock another role-play in local, or even attack them in whisper. It is considered a childish and disrespectful act and is highly frowned upon.
warning system, this role-play runs on a three-warning system. The first initial warning comes with a mark on the watchlist and prohibition from any main plot events. The second warning comes and in its wake, the consequences are losing an extra character or outsider if you own one. The third and final warning has no true consequence other than the fact that one more misstep, and you will be removed from the role-play.
post-cutting, this is allowed so long as you are not interrupting your role-play partner. For example, if your leader and their deputy are conversing while you are speaking with, say, your littermate, you are allowed to post-cut the leader and deputy, but not the littermate.
forum role-play, if you're unable to find time to reach Feral-Heart, you are by all means permitted to role-play on the forum. However, if you do not have an absence posted and use the forum more than you do the game, you will be contacted and questioned for a lack of in-game activity.

GENERAL IC RULES
realism, all colours and designs must be set to an intelligently realistic standard. Meaning, all features of your character's pelt, build, and eyes must be realistically chosen.
literacy, seeing as this role-play is dependent upon maintaining a professional feat, we ask that all IC posts are written with literacy. OOC, we ask, that you keep illiteracy to a minimum, but we do understand the excitable OOC jabber can best everybody at times.
items, sorry, but even for outsiders we can't allow FeralHeart items.
items, sorry, but even for outsiders we can't allow FeralHeart items.
ic knowledge, ooc knowledge should never, at any cost, be spilled into ic. If seen doing such a thing, you will be contacted and warned for your behaviour, especially if the transition is hostile or vehemently aimed at another member in particular.
the holy trinity, wolf-speak, auto-hitting, and god-modding is forbidden. One slip with wolf-speak is not a condemning action, but if you continue to speak in such a manner you will be questioned.
names, all names must be realistic. While no name is limited to our naming guide, as nature is nearly impossible to cram into one little thread, it must be fitting to the Great Britain environment and fit your character's pelt or personality. To learn more of how our naming standards work, visit the naming guide here.
injuries, if your character is injured, they must remain as such until confirmed by the medicine cat that they are free to return to their duties. when you bruise your knee, does it not remain there for at least a few days unless you have an incredibly quick immune system? The same rule applies to illnesses.
character count, you are allowed up to three characters. You may, however, apply for a fourth character to be judged by your leader based on activity and overall behavior for approval. If you have an outsider, you are not allowed to have a fourth character until they either die or move on. Regardless, all Clan cats must all stay within one Clan. This is to prevent Clan-jumping.
outsiders, outsiders, such as kittypets, rogues, loners, and barn cats, is limited to a maximum of six at a time. More information about this can be found in the main Outsiders' board.
killing, you may only kill your character after roughly three weeks of playing them. you may only do so, however, with permission from your clan leader, and a logical reason for doing so. you may not, at any costs, have your character kill themselves purposefully.
battle, in combat, if you have received too many injuries, you may be subject to need to kill your character, so know your character's limitations in battle. to kill in battle, you must first ask the victim and the leader of the latter's Clan. Battles will also be role-played in party chat, with either the patrol leaders or main characters' posts being played in local.
borders, if you want to meet with someone at the borders, you are free to do so unless there is romantic intention. If so, then you must, must, must ask your leaders first.
histories, since in this universe, only the original five clans were created, minus skyclan now that twolegplace was built, it's not allowed to have other clans by fan-made names in your histories. i.e, your cat cannot come from a faraway clan called creekclan or pineclan. They may, however, have ancient SkyClan ancestry.
forbidden romances, while these should be a rarity, they are permitted. there may be three forbidden romances occurring at one time in the role-play. before following up any romantic involvement, however, please consult both leaders of the respective clans and ask the administrators.

kits, kits will not be accepted without a mother. You must audition for a litter in order to play a kit. Condolences.
litters, the maximum number of kits a queen may bear is four. We ask that you are considerate and do not overload your Clan with kits if there is already quite a number of them. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a little or even a single litter, ever.
height regulations, in order to avoid kit-sized warriors and warrior-sized kits and apprentices alike, we have established a height chart to avoid such mayhem. Please adjust yourself to sight of them and check that your character fits the criteria provided.
kit maximum height,
apprentice minimum height,
apprentice maximum height,
adult minimum height,
adult maximum height,

MAP & AGING RULES
map password, under no circumstances are you allowed to openly distribute the map password unless you are the recruiter. doing so will result in two warnings rather than one.
uninstalling, if banned from this establishment, we ask for the sake of maintaining order that you uninstall our map within 24 hours of being removed from the role-play.
territory, unless given permission by both leaders, you are not allowed to leave the territory. If you wish to explore, F3 is always a reliable, safe alternative to use and it endorsed by the map creator himself.
windclan tunnels, no other clans are permitted to enter the windclan tunnel system. that being said, it should primarily only be tunnelers who enter the system as it is considered dangerous and painstaking.
mothermouth, unless you are a medicine cat, leader, deputy, or warrior with explicit permission, you cannot enter the moonstone map. this is just to discourage general mayhem, and to keep it enigmatic, per se.
camps, kits may not leave camp unless planned for a special plotted event, accepted by all staff and the clan leader. Apprentices may leave camp, though they must obtain warrior permission and at least have one accomplice, apprentice or warrior. Warriors are free to come and leave camp as they please, however.
aging, in order to keep kits from growing in a matter of a single moon for warriors and other ranks alike, we have organized a logical aging system for all ranks.
adults, adult characters may age one moon once every week. The day you age is up to you, entirely, though every Friday is encouraged. This regards all warriors, elders, leaders, deputies, and medicine cats.
apprentices, until they reach their twelfth moon of age, in which they are considered adults and must convert to the adult aging method, may age one moon every five days.
kits, may age once every three days. If for any reason you are not apprenticed at six moons of age, you must still age like an apprentice after reaching six moons.
